Over the past few days I’ve been playing a new card game on my phone. Well, the card game in itself is not new per se, but the app is new, at least to me. You might know Gin Rummy, and if you do you should give Kuralsoft’s Best Gin Rummy a shot.
The app is pretty neat, and the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that the AI is quite intelligent. Usually, the biggest flaw I find with games like this one is the fact that I can’t play on single player mode because the AI is either too dumb, or too good for me. Best Gin Rummy has three settings for its AI – Rookie, Medium or Expert, and I found them to be quite good for beginners or experts of the game.
The app’s design is also great – it’s simple, elegant and I found it perfectly adapted to the phone’s small screen. In the past, I tried other card games but found it hard to actually play – the design itself might have been suitable for a phone as far as aspect went, but the cards were so tricky to select that it was close to impossible to actually play the game.
Best Gin Rummy is free in the App Store, and it’s got a very high replay value – you can play it for hours on end and pick it up time and time again. That’s the beauty of card games, and especially well made ones. Try it out yourself today!
