If you’ve read some of my reviews you know that there’s one term I don’t throw around lightly, even though it is overused by a lot of reviewers and developers. But, this time, I’m ready to admit: I’ve found a truly addictive game. Ninflated is a game by AppStreet Games, and I truly think it’s not getting enough recognition for the masterpiece that it is.

In the game you play as Nin, a bubbly ninja that needs to get… you know, it doesn’t even matter. The story is cool and the game is immersive, but it’s about the gameplay more than it is about the story. You need to pass through countless levels – in this case represented by floors in a tower – and with each level the controls change. So not only do you have to master a way of controlling the little character, but you have to master all of them if you are to stand a chance of breaking your high score, and you need to adapt quickly and change styles in between levels. Therefore, the game tests your memory, as well as your reflexes and skills.

Ninflated is a free game and it’s available for both iPhones and iPads. I didn’t encounter any problems or bugs while I was playing it, and the only issue I have with it is that I’m constantly drawn to beat my previous high score. It’s gotten to the point that Ninflated is the only game I play on my phone… and although it sounds like I’m complaining, it’s actually fun!
